Hi Everyone! sorry its been so hectic lately! I really mean to get back to everyone! I had a really busy two weeks/weekend. Still busy -_- but I just wanted to share with you one of the looks I styled on (my new friend hehe) miss. Kelsey Johnson. It's really simple, but I think the Cream color is soooo pretty on her, I got this nightgown for such a steal, but I didn't even try it on! I think it looks so dreamy on! Hi everyone! happy Friday! ^^ such a busy day/weekend/week ahead of me ><; but I'm really happy about that! I really wanted to share with you guys a photoshoot I did last sunday with David Michael Cortes. We shot around China Town and it was a lot of fun! I got to meet Kristy Benjamin, who I think might become a close friend of mine :P haha. We had so much in common and she is such a good stylist! She is the owner of NBD Vintage, and she has such a keen eye for vintage street wear! I love it! ^^ David was really sweet, and had such passion for what he wants to do, and he's only 20! (can't believe it haha) I really respected his professionalism but he still would joke around and just be a down to earth person! I brought Scott with me on this shoot and they seemed to really get along! ^^ So I hope you guys like the photos! So much more stuff coming soon! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey everyone! how was your weekend? My week in general has been so busy, I've had about 4 shoots in the past week in total! Which is really great! I love that I am keeping busy and am doing what I love! And I'm so excited to show you guys all the photos! So many great posts in the weeks to come! ^^ Besides that, I had a pretty relaxed weekend. I haven't really had the desire to go out at night haha. I am so content with staying under the covers and playing video games with Scott...Sorry I'm so lame in that sense >.< ahaha!

Anyways, on to my outfit! I got the skirt and the shirt both at Savers at separate times (and separate locations). The shirt has always been a favorite of mine, the print is very unique. I love pairing it with a bold color piece, and what better way than two toned tights! The geometric print with the tights I think look really awesome! I just love this outfit so much! Its relaxed enough to go shopping in, or to go to an art show. Tell me what you guys think!

Hey Everyone! How has your week been going? Mine is getting better... I feel a little better, now I just have this cough :/. Well I wanted to quickly show you one part of an editorial/ad I did for BearCat LA! It was super fun! the whole team was really awesome (I always love to see Bonnie!) and it was a beautiful day! (New Years Eve haha) When Scott suggested I wear the skates I was more than excited! (I use to figure skate for 6 years as a kid) It was so much fun! Anyways, one of these photos are going to be an ad in Vice Magazine this February! So excited! I will show you guys once it comes out! Anyways I hope you guys like my outfit! I'm shooting an editorial for Racing Minds magazine today! So wish me luck!

Hi Everyone! how was your weekend? Mine was ok. I got to spend alot of time with Scott which is always good, but I have been so sick the entire weekend! :( It's just going around I guess, everyone I know is sick! Today I woke up with my voice much deeper and much raspyer and much much more nasally (my voice IRL is usually high pitched and nasally haha) I just feel so blahh. :( But Thursday (which was when these photos were taken) I was completely fine, despite just having a shoot with the whole team being sick haha. Scott and I went to this restaurant in Boyle Heights (my old area) called "Otomisan" which is a japanese restaurant. It's so little and cozy but it had great reviews! The food was excellent and the woman who owned it was so nice! I really enjoyed it ^^. After ward we walked around the Art's District and took some photos. It was a nice day, the calm before the storm... haha. It's been really nice out (despite it being January) in California. So I thought this was the perfect outfit, it was not too hot and not too cold, and I always love wearing tights! Romwe sent me this Sweater awhile ago and I'm glad to finally be sharing it! I wear it all the time! It's light pastel yellow color is just so perfect for the upcoming spring! Don't you think?

Hi! just a quick post of the last set that I did with Yuna! This was hands down my most favorite outfit! If you couldn't guess, pink is my most favorite color! I really like fabrics like this where you can do a lot of interesting draping and such! I think the belt really went perfectly with it! The only thing is that those pink glasses actually have a prescription in them >.< ! So I can't wear them outside of photo shoots or else I will be bumping into walls and tripping over my feet! (Not that I don't do that anyways...)

Hi Everyone! How was your weekend? How was your NYE? I had kind of a busy weekend... from going to the DMV, scouting locations for future shoots, cleaning up the loft, shooting, and then the whole NYE thing! I was really happy to just relax on New Years day and play Dead Island and watch Ghost Busters. (Sounds like the wrong holiday hahaha) I did an editorial with BearCat LA this weekend so I will be able to show you guys those soon! ^^

I'm really excited for this new year though, I really think it's looking up for me. 2011... Really sucked for me. Well at least the first half. But I don't need to re-hash the past. I'm really happy where I am right now, and it just keeps getting better and better! Everything is picking up from where it left off! The whole modeling thing is going really well once again! I love where I live, I love my cute doggy dexter ^^. And of course, having Scott and having the ability to be genuinely in love and happy... haha I don't want to get so corny but It just amplifies everything! So yeah, happy new years! I know it will be a good one ;)

Romwe sent me this top forever ago, and I'm glad I'm able to finally feature it! I really love sheer flowy tops! It's such a vibrant color and print too, it really makes an outfit "pop"! I'm really happy about how this particular set came out! What do you guys think? Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hi Everyone! So I wanted to share with you today a little photoshoot I did before the holidays! I got to work with Yuna, who is all around cute and has a great eye for girly/vintage photography and style. I really love how these came out! We had coffee at Urth Cafe in the Arts District before shooting. I got to talk with her quite a bit and she is such a sweet heart! So the shoot was really fun and relaxed! I have two other outfits from the shoot coming up too so keep your eyes peeled!

So I want to talk a bit about my outfit! I got this wonderful blouse from my favorite thrift store in the world, Super Thrift! If you are in the LA/OC area I highly recommend you check it out! I use to talk about them often, but I figured they are worth mentioning once again ;) . Like their facebook fan page here! But this blouse has such nice details, to the buttons to the lace on the collar. I really am in love with how completely girly it is! ^^ The red skirt was an awesome find as well! I love savers so much! such a big and clean store! They always have their half off sales too! which I got this skirt for half off ;D it actually has shorts underneath which is super interesting but I really adore the bright red color and the A-line shape! I realize this outfit is horribly festive and you guys are probably tired of seeing so many festive outfits with the christmas season! But it definitely wasn't my intention! haha! I love outfits like this all year around >.< Anyways! Hope you guys have a great weekend and NYE! To 2012!

Hi everyone! Merry belated Christmas! hahaha! How was it? I hope everyone had a good one and got to see their family! I got to see my boyfriend's family, it was really lovely but soooo much driving! (they live close to San Diego!) But it was really fun! We drove down Christmas Eve with Dexter and slept over at his mother's house. Where we drank margarita's and watched "It's a Wonderful Life" (my favorite!) and pigged out on snacks! Then on Christmas we went to his father's family which was nice! They have such a big house and a lot of really cool art pieces! But we were ready to go home fairly early so we got some coffee in Little Tokyo and spent the rest of the night vegging out haha.

Anyways about this post! So the top set of photos, are what I wore to Scott's parent's house. Bonnie from BearCat LA and designer of "Ingenue Collection" gifted me this dress for christmas at her holiday party (second set of pictures)! It is so cute and very true to its 60's English design! I'm so happy to own one of her designs!

This was my first time going to her new store as well! She finally got a store in Downtown Long Beach in a really cute area! The decoration is exactly how I imagined! Super girly with it's vintage twist... I was in love! We all talked, whilst sipping on some holiday drinks and snacking on some pita bread and hummus :) (I had alot of gingerbread though hehe) It was really a intimate atmosphere and I had a splendid time! Hi Everyone! How has your week been going? Mine has been pretty relaxed in a way, but I got to see my friend Momoko and Taku yesterday! I was so excited to see them, I had not for the past few months! We went to China Town to go eat, and then went to Griffith Park to go hike and then watch the sunset at the observatory! It was really something! I have two shoots lined up tomorrow and friday, one of them being with Chelsea Monroe! Which some of you may remember her line "Johnny & June" from last year! I am very excited to say the least! Not much plans for Christmas, haven't been a big Christmas person the last few years...But I will be very glad to spend it with Scott, any time I get on the weekends is really great! ^^

Anyways, I want to talk about my outfit! It's actually what I decided to wear to the BearCat LA holiday party this last saturday. I really wanted a vintage/cute feel but you know, some sex appeal :P. I lovvvvveee wearing my garters just to take an outfit to that level. I think most people are kind of confused by it at first, and either really like it or really hate it. But I think it can be pulled off so cutely with the right sort of outfit ^^. I've had this dress forever and ever and I never wear it! But I think I found the perfect outfit for it, so weird how you can do that years later... Anyways, I think the outfit was really complimentary to my new bag! I got it from Lapalette (It's a korean brand called "Cupcake") I really love it! It fits my style really well and I love the color! I've never received a bag before so it was a really nice surprise! Much more cute stuff here!

Hi Everyone! how was your weekend? Just one more week before Christmas! Yayyyy! ^.^ I had a really busy weekend! On Friday I was in my very first runway show! It was really thrilling! I never did runway before because I was really anxious about it... But I had a lot of fun! :) Then I went to visit my friend Bonnie Jun at her Bear Cat LA store in Long Beach! She was having a holiday party and it was really relaxed and fun! (pictures coming soon!) Then yesterday I got to go to Pasadena with Scott, I love going there during the winter! All in all it was a really fun weekend! ^^

So a few weeks ago I received a few items from this new brand "Lamb & Flag". I really love how cute and comfortable these clothes are! I've been wearing this outfit so much! The colors go together perfectly, and its such a great Winter/Fall look! And the sweater is light weight but still nice and warm! ^^~~~ Check out their site here!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share with you some photos of me and my cutest dog in the world, Dexter! (aka Falkor! Because he looks like the luck dragon from the never ending story hahaha) He was of course my boyfriend Scott's dog before I came along, but I love him so much! He loves people, loves attention, is super cute (sounds like me... :P) and makes me so happy! Just another reason why life is so much better these days!

Anyways, on to the outfit! I picked up the coat and the dress on a recent shopping spree at the swapmeet. I love the swapmeet (no... not the big Pasadena Rosebowl one, but I love that one for different reasons). I love digging through clothes and finding treasures. And when it's based in a city or area that either people are "too good" to go, or never think of going, there is not much competition....hehehehe. So most of the time, I just sift through random piles and happen upon a lot of cool stuff! The dress and the coat being some of those things. Although, I really didn't think much of either of the pieces when I found them... just that they were cute colors, looked vintage and would fit me. But when I tried them on at home, I was so pleasantly surprised!

This last time I went to the swapmeet, I found one vendor who had SO MUCH cute stuff! Like all these vintage pinks, creams and pastels. I saw it from afar.... As I got closer, I also saw a girl plopped down at the pile of clothes already sorting things (in a calm manner). I rushed over there to see this really cute japanese couple (like they looked like they were fashionistas from Japan. No lie!), and when they saw me they scrambled to just get everything. There was a bunch of stuff on a rack and I (foolishly) was going through it slowly...unaware that this was some sort of battle... And the girl starts just pulling things without looking at them! In the end, I ended up with about 5 things from that place costing about 9$. Where as, they took the whole place for about 80$... I still can't live it down >.> Sigh...

Anyways I hope you love my outfit as much as I do! and I hope your having a great week!

Hello Everyone! So I wanted to share with you a sort of lookbook-ish photoshoot I did with Scott and with a company called Sugarlips! They asked me to style a few outfits using their clothing and to post about it, and of course I said yes! I really like their black's and cream's, as you can tell haha. The pieces I chose I feel have a very classic look about them. I really love certain pieces, like the cream, sheer cardigan. It's really my style, super feminine and pretty ^^. We went and shot these out in Griffith Park, it was quite a hike up there! It's this one area (Scott showed me) surrounded by huge trees. Light peeks out through the branches and it's just really dreamy. It's always nice to go out and hike and appreciate nature... living downtown, I don't get to see many trees! Hi Everyone! So I wanted to share with you something quite new that I did with my boyfriend. I styled a shoot for him! A stylist backed out last minute, so I suggested that I just do it! (I mean I've styled so many of my own shoots!) and it was really fun! I got to do a very different style than I usually do. The darker colors looked really good on Ariel (but she's a model, most clothing looks good on her. hahaha) But I'm pretty proud of myself ^.^. We went and shot the location photos over in the arts district. So many great places to shoot over there! Then the Studio stuff was shot in our loft. Ariel was an excellent model, she performs so well, and she's one of the most coolest models I've ever met! She is really down to earth and not super full of herself. I really respected that, especially since she is in an industry where people tell her how beautiful and amazing she is on a daily basis. Anyways, I really hope you guys like the shoot!

Hey everyone! how are you doing! It's getting so cold! brrrrr. I'm always under the blankets these days. -__- Anyways, I wanted to share with you when I went to Solvang. This was a little over a month ago, but I am finally posting pictures! (Better late than never right?) I went with my lovely boyfriend Scott Laytart on a friday. We drove up there, which took about two and a half hours from LA. On the way, we saw so many pumpkin patches! And I really love pumpkin patches, so I made him pull off the side of the road to take a few photos at one! It was so cute! I never new Ventura had so many pumpkin patches! haha You can see how happy I am by my goofy smile. And then we drive into Solvang. It was my first time there! It was sooooo cute! I really love the dutch design of the town! We walked around and took pictures and they were having a scarecrow contest out around town. It was really cute to see the different ideas people came up with! After that, we went to go out to eat at this burger place. My sandwich was really good, but Scott's burger was really small and not that great So, I let him have some of my sandwich. hahaha And then we walked around to a few different wineries, but didn't find one we really liked (some of the people in Solvang were sort of rude). So, we walked to this used book store called "The Book Loft". It was literally a loft filled with books! A lot of books about the history of california and then a lot of dutch fairytale books! It was really amazing! After that, we went home and listened to old radio broadcasts of an old detective show from the 40's called "The Adventures of Phillip Marlow". It was really eerie and cool to listen to driving at home at night. But yeah... anyways, that is my story about Solvang! A lot of stuff coming up! I'm going to a lot of different events in the following weekends and will update on that! I am defiantly going to keep the ball rolling in terms of blogging, I seriously promise this time <3

I took these photos awhile back for a Japanese magazine that should be out this month but I'm getting a copy in January! I can't wait to show you guys! Lookbook.nu x d.RA party!

Hi everyone! So, I'm a little late on posting this >.<, but I wanted to share with you what I did on saturday! I was invited by Holly Wang from d.RA to attend their sample sale party. The people behind lookbook.nu and many other bloggers were to be there as well, so of course I said yes! I was really nervous though. I've met people before from lookbook, but only after talking to them for prolonged periods of time. So, when I first arrived, I was super shy and quiet... But after awhile, when more people started coming and talking to me, I guess I opened up! I got to meet quite a few people for the first time, but also saw some old friends. All of the lookbook people and I ended up going on the roof during the sunset. We all took group pictures and talked. It was really fun! Adam Gallagher from "I AM GALLA" was really down to earth and friendly. I felt most at ease talking with him. I was really intimidated by everyone at first, but he kind of brought me to the reality that we are all just humans haha. Bethany & Peter (Snakes Nest, Made in China) were super cute! She actually said hi to me when I first got there, but I got so nervous I kind of froze up and was just like "um hi!....." Really awkward! But, she still continued to talk to me, despite my awkwardness >.>. I didn't get to talk to Amber (from Cannibal's Find) much. But, she was really well dressed! I really loved her skirt and just the all black with her light light blonde hair! Jenny (from Neon Blush) just had such an air of grace and sophistication, and she was definatly very beautiful! And of course Olivia (from Lust for Life)... It was really great to see her again! It has been almost two and a half years since the last time! I also got to see her sister again later in the day. It was a real treat! Afterward, we all went to a japanese restaurant in Little Tokyo and got something to eat! At the restaurant, I actually ran into a old coworker of mine from Marukai. Then, I saw my good friend, Momoko! All in all, it was a great day/night! Even though I got kind of tipsy at the party with my boyfriend and Andy (one of the people behind lookbook). And getting to meet Yuri Lee for the first time was super great as well! She is just how I envisioned her, intelligent, funny, fashionable and pretty! :3 Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy my post! ...And here are more pictures!

So about a week ago, I asked June Kim from Come Wander With Me if she would be willing to answer a few questions for a mini interview for my blog... She responded shortly saying that she would love to! and I was so excited because I had been stalking her blog for the past two months and I love her style/tastes in music/art/fashion/cinema sooooo much! So please! will you read her very interesting interview exclusively on Grand Theft Thrift!

1. Where are you from, what is your age, and what do you do?
I'm 22yrs old Businese Management Student from Seoul, South Korea. I import shoes and bags for part time/fun too.

2. what made you decide on creating "come wander with me"?
I've always had desire to express myself. I thought having my own blog shows my personality/singularity. I wanted to share what I like to people in the world and also wanted to get inspired by them. That's why I started to have my blog :)

3. what are some of your main inspirations in fashion? weither it be a person, film, song or decade?
I think my main inspiration is my desire and my dream. I sometimes think myself that I might be too selfish but I think about myself a lot and I always get inspired from myself first. I dream everyday and write it down after I wake up. Mostly it's very creepy and grotesque but I really like to remind of daily dreams. I like 60's~70's. Thesedays I'm so fall in love with bohemian things a lot.

4. I notice you like Alphaville alot, in turn you must like Jean Luc Godard just as much? Could you tell me how you first were introduced to his work and how you came to like his films?
When I was 14, I had hard time emotionally. Maybe because of that, I tried to focuse film,book, and music so that I don't think about something which makes me sad. I found this film from one of my fav novel 'After Dark' by Haruki Murakami, the japanese famous author. Alphaville was the name of hotel in this book but he wrote about this movie into conversation. It says that Alphaville has not to have emotions. There was no contradiction/irony. And after I read about this, I wanted to know about this film. After I've seen this film I focused this main actress, Anna Karina. I foud out she was his muse. Most of her films were directed by Jean-Luc Godard. So yes, I started to watch her films which also directed by him one by one. And then I became having interest films in the period of Nouvelle Vague.

5. I love the music you use on your blog! what are some of your favorites?
People who visit my blog usually told me same thing:) and I'm really happy that they like this music. I chose very carefully all the time. Most of music are soundtracks of films. I like all kinds of music. I like Erik Satie, Jon Brion, Alexandre Desplat. Last two are well known for soundtracks. I like folks, trip-hop and ambient music too. Sometimes I even listen to radio where let the space communication or sound of ocean on air. But one of my fav is 'Come Wander With Me' by Jeff Alexander sung by Bonnie Beecher. It's from one of episode of Twilight Zone. It's American TV series in early 60's.

6. Do you have any plans for your blog, as in any special posts or feautures?
I've been designing my blog for weeks now. It's been a very short time that I re-started to post on my blog so I try to keep post something daily right now.

7. How do you think your blog sets you apart from others?
I don't know yet honestly. Maybe if people who constantly visit my blog, then they find the difference :) Well, I think my blog is not just about fashion but it's about my desires. Yes I used that word many times but for me, desire makes me alive. Expressing myself is the way I feel calm and happy.

8. Where did you get those wall scrolls hanging in most of your pictures!? haha.
Actually I personally made this scrolls. It's my room. Behind the scrolls, there are hangers. I captured the scene from Alphaville(which is my fav part in that movie) and send the files to processing laboratory to print it out. Actually I all did D.I.Y. for my room. I even painted ceiling! My room is all white. I really loke my room actually. And most of things are created in this little cube. I can say it's my own atelier.

Heh, do you guys like how often I post these days ;D I promise it will always be this way! With shoots being lined up, to getting new wardrobe, to being with someone as motivated as yourself and you can grow with, and to having lots of free time... Modeling, blogging, networking, ect... comes so easily and naturally. Least to say, I am still just very happy! I can't wait to see whats in store for the future :)!

Anyways, on to my actual post, I took these halloween day, in this new cape/coat that Romwe sent me! I love it so so much! It's retro design and light color is so perfect for me. I feel instantly sophisticated when I wear it, especially with my new heels ^^. Defiantly going to wear this outfit out this weekend! (if it isn't too cold! maybe I'll add tights?) But I really love how the photos came out, Scott has really good taste in film and photography and we both are on the same page about those things. The colors and style just look so well together, thankyou again!

Hi!!! How is everyone doing today? ^^ so I was asked by ThisOutfit.com to post some fall accessories I currently love/want I actually just became a member of pinterest (lol I know a little late in the game) and its so awesome how resourceful it is! I mean I love tumblr too, but searching tags can be sort of a pain and not really that precise... But anyways, I grouped these pictures together to give you this post! I think Fall may be my most favorite season, I really love the rich dark oranges, golds, browns, and all the natrual-ish colors that accommodate the season. Like that gold twig bracelet! o.O ahhh so perfect! I wonder if I can make something like it... I saw a tutorial recently on how to make a necklace like it, but not a bracelet, it seems too...precise :(. I know that cowboy boots aren't really a trend or fashion-y right now, but I always really liked western themed stuff, and always associated it with fall, I guess just something about the over all tone and texture of the desert and the "old west" feel. Plus drawing my comic (which is a western) leaves me wanting to dress up all the time haha. I think I'm going to make a trip to super thrift soon to pick up some boots and spurs :P !

Hey everyone! Happy Halloween!! how is your Halloween weekend going? Halloween really is my most favorite holiday! I love dressing up so much! and seeing others get creative ^^! Anyways,... this is my costume! It took me probably around 20 hours to make from scratch (including the wig). But I am "Catherine" from the Atlus video game that came out this summer named "Catherine". One of my favorites of this year! It has alot to do with love and relationships, and the art style is favorite of mine (Shin Megami Tensei is the director for this game and others like Persona 3 and 4) It's very adult and very well written and has awesome game play! But I really loved Catherine's design so much I just had to cosplay as her! Anime Convention came and went so why not for Halloween?? (although I probably will for PMX too ^^) But yes, I made the costume entirely from scratch, I just got two sheets of fabric and went to work! The bodice of the top I am not quite happy with because I had such a short time to make it and she sort of wears more of a corset :/ but in the end I think with everything together it looks good! But anyways I hope you like my photos/costume/post as much as I do! and please hype my look on lookbook! I hope you guys all have a happy Halloween! ^^

Charlotte&Lisa sent me this scarf and I have to say it is so perfect for the upcoming cold weather! it's contemporary design is paired perfectly with black (I think) and I love how they specialize in unique and designer scarves, they take it to a whole new level than just a peice of fabric you sling across your shoulders! and the fur collar/hood (depending on how you wear it) is like you have a companion around you as you walk through the cold! at least thats how I feel when I wear it >.<. Hi Everyone! So this is a new set that I did over at the Huntington Library about a week ago! It's heavily inspired by a european 70's cinema feel. and I really love how the photos came out! the sculptures there are so beautiful! and it was an over cast day (it ended up raining by the end of the shoot!) and it really added to the stoic feeling these pictures capture. It was my second time going here (the first was two weeks prior and it was for scouting!) and its just such a beautiful and dreamy place... And about my outfit! I really had to put some money into this one >.< although, the skirt was a gift, but the shoes, oh my god the shoes... That is the most money I have ever spent on any single item... seriously, but it was worth it, I really love those shoes the go with a lot of my outfits, and I never splurge on anything I suppose. And the shirt I went specifically all the way to La Habra to my favorite thrift store "Super Thrift" just to pick it up! the flowy-ness with the wool skirt really is beautiful! Oh yes! and if you guys happen to live in LA, you should go to a store in pasadena called "The Loved One" they have super cool pieces and at affordable prices, and they fit really well! and the owner/staff are really sweet and adorable! its overall a great experience to go! But I hope you guys really enjoy the photos and the outfit! It was a lot of work put into this one ^^. Oh and sort of an old news thing... well depending on if you are friends with me on facebook or not, but I have a new boyfriend, and he took these photos XD. So yes, Scott Laytart is my boyfriend! I am so happy to say! And you will be seeing loads more of his work coming up soon!

Hi Everyone! So I know, you must be tired of my dull 2011 year of blogging, constantly on and off because of stupid life stuff... Well, I ASSURE you that it will be very different! First off, I got a real job. hahah, I work in little tokyo in a japanese market! I really love it! I get to learn Japanese, I love everyone I work with and I get to talk to people all day! Next off, I decided I will start modeling again. I stopped doing it for a variety of reasons, but I didn't tell you guys most of them.... Also, I left Steven, (///OLF). So yeah. No more pictures from him I'm afraid, but its a really really good thing. I feel really happy and free to lead my own life... The next thing, I turned 21 August 28th and it's really been a fun month! Hey everyone! Sorry for the late post this week but I have been doing one once a week! :D but yesss, this isent the bulma cosplay, but my boyfriend really wanted to take casual pictures of me in the wig (I will some how make him take cosplay pics soon though! D: ) anyways, these were taken last sunday at the sakura mall in little tokyo, it was really fun! I loved wearing the wig out casually like that! I felt like an 80's anime character :3!

Hey! so I took these earlyier today, I really love this onsie I've had foreverrrr, and Me and Steven have been playing "Shadows of the Damned" recently (Well we did a month ago, Steven got "Alice" recently and has been playing that like crazy.) But I really love the Director of the game, he did games like "No More Heroes" and "Killer 7" and then the Co Director is the guy who did the "Resident Evil" Games! crazy cool combination! But yeah! I really like the Character designs for the main characters in the game (Garcia Hotspurr, and Paula) and whilst it is not exactly like her, (missing the blonde hair and the one green eye one blue eye) I still wanted to pay homage to probably my favorite video game this year! I hope you guys like it! and for you gamer fashionistas out there you should definatly check out "Shadows of the Damned"!

Hey all! so I want to reguarly start posting again, so yes I did cut my hair, um and sort of in a dramatic fashion, lol, about a month and a half ago, when I was definate in my retirement from modeling, I sat down in front of the mirror and took a pair of sissors and just started cutting it. don't worry Ive done 1800 hours of cosmetology (200 above the legal limit) so I knew what I was doing, for the most part, but its a really refreshing change. I started really detesting my long hair, I was only keeping it because of my job, but now I don't need to worry about that! lol and from working on my comic non stop for the past 3 months (if you follow my tumblr you would see me talk alot about it) I literally forget to eat and drink water, and I lost like 10-15 lbs >.< I know thats bad! but I'm suprised, when I actually cared about being a model and agents told me I was too "round" in the thighs, I couldnt get any of it off or wasnt motivated and it just "happened" now. Such a funny thing. oh yeah and those are new circle lenses of mine I used for my Bulma cosplay (and soon my "Sylvia" from "No More Heroes 2" cosplay) they are really something!

but yeah, so despite my hiatus, a few people have sent me some items to take pictures in and Akira was one of them! They sent me this lovely leather tan collar, I really love it with sweaters! I've never had a seperate collar peice before so it was really nice to play around with it! and the quality of it feels really nice, I thought it would be uncomfy because its leather up against bare skin, but totally not! Thankyou again Akira for sending me this lovely peice!

Update on my life and stuff.

Hey everyone!

So I know I know its been more than a month (maybe 2?) and I'm sorry, not just for not posting, but not being an avid member of the blogging community in general. To not sound cheesy (but it still is) I've been doing alot of self exploration lately, who I am, who I surround myself with, what's important in life, what I really want to do with my life. You know, all that crap. Quite a few bad things happened leading up to this recluse, but I seriously have been really happier this past month, I'm actually doing things that I really love, I'm surrounded by people I really love, I can dress for myself, I don't have to make companies, photographers and the like happy with a certain appearance. This is alot of ramble, but I think what I'm trying to say, that I am taking a step back from modeling. Like I still want to do it for my blog and stuff, but I don't really CARE anymore about making those people happy. I realize, I don't care about money, I don't care about being number 1, I don't care about being revered by many for my outward appearance. I want people to remember me for what I did, what I create, how I effected them with my words and actions, not by alot of boring, empty pictures taken by more shallow, empty people that claim to be "real" artists. (not that they all are).

I just want to be happy,I think we all want that, and I know I was not content for the past 3 years of my life. So yeah, I've always been better at fashion, design, and drawing and all that jazz, but yeah, I plan on blogging again after anime expo (which is next week) but I just wanted to tell you all of this, its really important that everyone understands, I am still going to blog and stuff, but the internet is really something I'm minimizing in my life.

so in the end, here are a few sneak peeks of things I've participated in before all of this.

Hi everyone! I hope you guys are all doing well! well first I want to talk a little about things that have been happening with me. Last Thursday I went to Q model Management, and it went well-ish, haha I was really sick and had to take the bus all the way to beverly hills (I don't drive, I hate cars, I'm scared of cars ect...) but they were really nice and I will hear from them really soon this week so keep your fingers crossed! If not I have a few more meetings set up next week ^.^! Also I am going to be in Nylon Japan! its a little insert but all the same its really exciting! I can't wait to see it in real life! I will be sure to share it! oh and I am getting a new camera, its a pink olympus 14mp camera and it takes hd video and eee I'm so excited! (and its only 100$!!!) I will definatly be making a lot more tutorial videos and such! on my list of tutorials so far:

Ok now for the outfit, Wholesale-dress.net was so kind to send me yet another peice(s) and I have to say I love it! this is a sample size so its a bit smaller than the actual product, the way it looks is like this its really cute, I love the Parisian influence in it! I really love this place because they totally have cheap prices for such trendy clothes, and its really Japanese/Korean oriented, so its perfect for me! The rest of the outfit is mainly thrifted, Steven found me those pants, and they are a bit bigger on me, but I really love that looser fit, its so comfy, I just hate how dirty light jeans can get so easy >:(, and the sandals my mom bought for me a loooooong time ago, she actually got a matching pair hahaha.

Hey everyone, I know I know, it takes me forever to post, well now I feel like I'm not going to wait for photoshoots and such it just takes way too much time to wait for and I need some filler stuff right? granted, I am going to learn how to use my boyfriend's SLR camera to make the quality ALOT nicer. Speaking of quality, have you guys noticed how the quality of my photos (from professional shoots) has dropped? Idk if anyone else has had this problem, it looks super nice the first day I post (I use tinypic as an uploader) and then in the next few days it looks blurry and not sharp. but it did previously!? ugh, I can't even email blogger about it it makes me so mad. I'm thinking of getting my own domain name, but I'm not sure, I just reached 1000 followers on blogspot recently too :(. But yeah, Not much new with me! just a few jobs here and there, tonight me and Steven are haveing a Neon Genesis Evagelion party to celebrate the new movie "You will (not) Advance" we are getting ramen in little tokyo and walking around and then come back home for drinks and the movies! so excited! so in light of that excitement here is a beautiful song performed by the beautiful Utada Hikaru.

Hey everyone! I know this is a pretty random post! but I just wanted to share it with you all! it was my first time doing this! and I was so happy that my friend Julia would take me to do it with her! it was so interesting and fun! haha I don't know Japanese but you had to figure out the commands and stuff on the computer while decorating after the pictures which was a fun process in itself. I didn't decorate the pics very well because it was my first time >.> (the top one Julia did of course!) but we just found out there is a place like this in K-Town and we are defiantly going for round 2! :P I'm glad that California has so many Asians hehe.

Hi everyone~! I know I say this every time, but so sorry for the delay on posting >.> things have been rather busy, but I will get back into the swing of things, I get to see my wonderful friend tomorrow Candace Wakefield, and then I have a few shoots lined up in the future! oh and I meed with Q model management on thursday! I will defiantly let you guys know how that works out ;D.

On to the outfit : ] me and ///OLF-ie shot this in the arts district of LA, which is now the new home to his brother! He just got an amazing loft in the area and I'm so happy for him and his girlfriend! anyways, I went shopping at one of my favorite thrift stores and Steven found these amazing coral colored pants, perfect for spring! I'm usually used to wearing pants that are tight (I'm a size 1) but those are a size 5, and I really like the relaxed and roomy feel of them. and I think they excentuate my legs thin-ness in the right way. I found the crochet top at the swapmeet when I was 17 (so almost 4 years ago)! I always wear it in warm weather its so perfect! and its a really classic piece in my wardrobe I think.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! first I want to thank everyone for the big response to my previous post, it was really really nice, and it makes me very proud of that editorial! Here is my drawing post though (if you look here you can see how I improved) I drew this originally free hand with pencil and paper, and then took a picture and re did it digitally, I use to do this alot, but I only had a mouse and a laptop so it would always come out very sketchy or unprofessional looking. But thankfully my friend Chris (my boyfriends cousin) had gotten a wacom for his artwork and gave me his old one for my birthday and I finally got the opputunity to get to use it last night! I'm super pleased with the line work and the coloring. I just hope that you guys like it as well! I hope you do! heh.

Hello Everyone! sorry for such a long gap in posting, I've been quite busy, and I really didn't want to set up any photo sets when my roots were 2-3 inches long, So I finally went back to my neutral (except its little darker) Also this is the first shoot I did with my new circle lenses! I really really love them! So this is the followup post of my shoot in little Tokyo! I really love this dress a lot, I actually wore this on NYE! Nudes, Pinks, Rose colored, I think I have an obsession. Hi everyone! how are you enjoying the weather? In La its been unusually rainy, but I really like it, waking up and falling asleep to the drops hitting my window, there is something very therapeutic about it all. Not to mention Curling up in a nice big blanket and keeping warm :3. Christmas is rapidly approaching, and I must admit, mine will be very low key this year, I've already received my presents from Steven (video games haha) all the rest there is to do is to enjoy eachother's time off :].

So this is the last installment of the shoot I did with Teddy Meyer at Griffith Park. I really love the sun flares and it sort of reminds me of the old dolce and gabanna ads they did back in 05. I personally love the way the photos came out, and I want to wear this outfit maybe for new years. which is another exciting thing to look forward to soon!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know I am finally feeling better and recovering from my nasty sickness, and now I am well enough to share with you the wonders of Bullco! :]

Bullco, a fashion/art company founded by Eric Oviedo, a 30 year old artists that spends his time creating new monsters and designs, I asked him to share his brand and what it's all about to him on my blog! Here are some things that the talented man himself had to say : ]

" For me Bullco can be describe in three simple words. Bold, clean, and iconic. With everything I have created past, and present I have always tried to incorporate those 3 words with everything I do. A t-shirt graphic should be bold and grab the customers attention. Clean, so he or she knows that they are looking at. Lastly and most importantly iconic. When designing a logo for a shirt I put myself in the person shoes that sees my shirt on someone else. For example if I were to pass a person wearing my shirt would I look at it and remember it 2 weeks later if I saw it on someone else?? If my answer is yes then it gets printed on a shirt.

hey everyone, How have you been doing this week? I've actually become quite sick, its this bug that goes around, I hate it! anyways this is the shoot I did with Teddy Meyer at griffth park. It was super nice, and I got to climb trees and stuff hehe, (I use to rule at climbing trees as a kid) so it came naturally. And the colors of the Trees just naturally give that fall feeling. I really love how the photos came out.

Hello everyone! how was your weekend? Mine was really laid back but I had a good time with my hunnie! So awhile back, Jacqueline from Lamixx Sent me a few dresses to take photos in, and I did just that : ] I just had a shoot with Teddy Meyer and we were going to the observatory, so it was the perfect opportunity! and I must say that I really love how the photos came out. The whole theme of it was to mix Lamixx's simplistic yet modern black dresses with gold accessories that accent the black. I really like how it came out! check out lamixx here!

PS. yes I colored my hair again, the Blonde was such a tiring process (5 processings!) that I didn't want to go over it again, I tried putting my natural color on again, but it turned this strange reddish tint, still going to go darker, but liking it for right now! Keep your eyes peeled much more exciting shots from Teddy to come!

Hey you guys! NO I DID NOT COLOR MY HAIR BACK, haha, these are around 2 months old, before I changed, I just never got the chance to share them with you, it makes me miss my old hair though. I found this peice (its genuine and from the 70's)at superthrift, and I instantly fell in love, I really love the fabric, and that vibrant color. It's romance at it's best! and it was perfect to shoot around my boyfriend's appt, with all the dark browns and old stair cases. I really Like how it came out, I would probably look like ketchup and fries in it if I put it on now!

Hi Everyone! So these are a set I did on Saturday with ///OLF, at Hollenbeck park. I had actually received this shirt and another dress in the mail from a Chinese wholesale company that asked me to feature them on my blog. Normally I say no to these kind of things, but I think it fits right in with what I am portraying on my blog. Not only do they have super awesome Japanese and Korean apparel. They are super cheap, that shirt/sweater was only 5$! It's basically the same stuff that they sell at forever 21, except 10x cheaper, oh yeah and they have a wicked selection of shoes too ahh I'm going to be spending a lot of money there T_T.

and about the shoot, I really love this shirt and I guess I kind of made it sort of an alice in wonderland type theme, especially with my new hair color. I really love how the beganning photos came out, it was so worth it to lay in that bug infested ivy. :P

oh! and I finally got the chance to watch Scott Pilgrim, it was so so so good. If you haven't watched this film, you are missing out. I love how retro gaming is such a big big part, I can't stress enough how attractive this film is. THANK YOU STEVEN FOR BUYING IT! <3

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay in posting! my internet was down for the past week, but its finally back! So this is a cosplay I did for Anime Expo 09 down here in LA and its from the show called "speedgrapher" its an alright show, defiantly not my favorite, but I really liked the main character in it, and back when I cosplayed as her I had brown hair and now I have blonde hair and it looks so much better! I actually took these photos about a month ago and was hesitant to post them. But I just wanted to take pictures of my creation, I had no patterns or anything for the pleated skirt and the jacket which was very hard to make. but I think I did an ok job. I hope that you guys like it!

on a side note, big news! Ford model management and also Elite model management are interested in signing me! I haven't been so excited in ages! and also I was featured in a book! I will have to show you guys pictures soon, but I hope you are all doing well!

So Me and my boyfriend steven, we got the new game Fallout New Vegas, and It's really good! we had been long awaiting it, ever since fallout 3. The only thing is, it doesn't seem much like a new game, more of just an add on to 3. But I am still enjoying it, the scenery, (its in the west), the music, and the story of course.

Hey everyone! this is the latest shoot of mine I did last week with a very very wonderful team. It was for my new friend Chelsea's entrance project to FIT, (she currently attends FIDM) So she designed this dress and 5 other pieces (which of course I will display on this blog as I go along) I really really love her atheistic of design, its very similar to what I like to wear on a every day basis, the older I become the more girly I get I realize! She has super high energy on set, and you can tell a very good eye, I rarely enjoy being styled, or someone else doing my makeup, but everyone did an A+ job! I also HATE studio shots of myself, I have alot of weird angles to my face and people usually flash me out to blend into the back round or the extreme shadows which I am not a fan of. so Steve did a great job, all and all a great shoot! more to come!

Also, I got this new game, Dead Rising 2, I am SO loving it, I play zombie games, but I always give up because I get too scared, but this game is just a fun hack and slash. haha I don't know how many of you would be into that -__-. Oh and if any of you have read the comic The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, (I've been a fan for about 3 years!) its FINALLY coming out as a show on AMC and premiering Halloween night, so don't miss it, you defiantly will be into this if you love good story.

Hey everyone! I am excited to finally share with you the drastic change I was talking about! well I went blonde! its sort of a weird blonde, but I really like it, it was kind of an awful process, I found out I am allergic to lighter wella dye what fun! and I kept messing up D: but 5 processings later I finally got the color I wanted! so I should talk about my outfit and such. I actually aquired some really awesome shoes from forever 21, that look like complete miu miu counterfeits, but I really don't care about supporting a designer that makes so much money. it's just a shame you can't really see them in these photos. oh and I got this dress from jet rag AGES ago, and haven't gotten the chance to wear it yet, but I really like it (its spring for me all year long haha)

So I went, and I made it real far into the top 30 of LA. and then you had to wait 3 weeks for them to call you. Well they never called me, so I just never said anything in fear of hurting my chances for trying out again. I had just been featured on tyra.com or something that I was in the top 10 finalist that would of made it into the house, which was confusing, and I was contacted this week for the final casting (the same thing as last) of cycle 16. Well they cut me in the first cuts, which confused me because I did everything right this time. They told me I didn't make it because my blog is too popular (which it's not) and I had too much experience as a model already. I feel like I never win...at anything, but instead of feeling sorry for myself, I'm glad it's finally over, I know now that all i need to do is just actively pursue my career and not depend on some dumb show.

ok done with my story, (which will probably never let me try out again!) but about my outfit, I had found that shirt at savers when I was about 15, and then I found those shorts at the swapmeet but they use to be pants! and I cut them, and then i did the little slits as well. and I just bought these shoes 2 days ago! (I love them) I figured i would buy myself a little birthday present. But that's about it with this outfit. hope you guys have a good weekend!

So these are just some digital shots that I had taken with Candace Wakefield this last Friday morning. we both woke up super early to get these early morning beach shots, but this is just a few digital shots she took so i am excited to see the film (she shoots primary with her Nikon film camera and her hassalbad.) So I can't wait!

It was my birthday on Saturday, and its strange to say that I am 20, I feel very ambiguous with my age, I never know how to reply sometimes when people ask me how old i was. but my birthday consisted of being hit by a car, raging at the man who did it, Korean bbq, drinks, and a fight at my party (not including me)over all, a fun time!

also, I know my last post was a bit depressing, but I have come to terms with the things that have been happening in my life, I need to stay on track and become more focused in what I want to do. and not stress about the little petty things in the world. There may be ugly in the world, but there is a lot of beauty that we need to stop and appreciate, more than just celebrities, models, whats in what is out, just appreciating that we live in such a beautiful world with tons of unique people out there that can just affect our lives weather it be on a bus ride, online, or through a random act of kindness. haha I don't really know what I am talking about! but this is one of my favorite Spanish songs and it inspired me to write this!

Hey all!

so this is my entry into the Jeffrey Campbell my way contest. I HATE drawing feet, and I love drawing girls, so I just decided to put my own twist into the illustration and show an actual person wearing it :3.

Since I was a child, I love Japanese animation (anime) a lot of the works from “Naoko Takeuchi” (sailor moon), “clamp”, and Leji Matsumoto, they all focused on style and fashion a lot in their works. clothing was very important. I love very feminine and cute things, and I try to incorporate that in everything I do, hence all the pink in my illustration. and I thinks a classic design that can live on for awhile! I’m not very good with studs, or leather or any of that jazz, so i just stuck to what I knew best and what called out to me. I hope that you like my design!

Hi everyone!~ sorry for lagging on my posts lately, been really busy lately, in some good and bad ways, but I promise I will be more adamant about posting from now on :3

So about a week ago, I modeled for my most favorite vintage store "super thrift" and I got paid in store credit (EEEEEEEE) and yesterday I was able to redeem it, and I was able to pick basically whatever I wanted. this piece, was a bit more pricey (26$) but it was HAND EMBROIDERED, and authentic from the 70's. so it was worth it! I was suppose to shoot today, but unfortunately plans were canceled so i decided to do a mini shoot with my horrible camera >.> but I think they came out pretty good. this is the camera I use . It's all in lighting, style and post production I guess.

The 400 Blows, by Francis Truffaut, one of four movies in a continually series. Following, in this movie, a young boy named Doinel, you get to experience his life as a troubled child. His cramped apartment, his adulterous mother, whom he secretly loathes. His hard working father whom he rarely sees. This film specifically touched me, I can relate a lot with Doinel, he's not a bad kid, he's just troubled, and has problems concentrating. and was a child that was never wanted in this world. Truffaut captures the raw emotions of despair and the feeling of being lost in such a big world. Not knowing where his place will ever be in this world. The Score for "The 400 Blows" fits perfectly with is slow sad tone. And in the end, he is just glad to be free.

Ahhh, I haven't done one of these in awhile. All thrifted outfit/photo shoot. and I really missed it. So this is the shoot I did with ///OLF We were really inspired to do something 70's but very fresh at the same time. We were talking about how when you look at a "vintage fashion book" they never quite get it right, its almost like they like to collect all the horrible fads of that era and overlook the great fashion trends...so we did something we believed to be a lot more what we would like to see in those types of books.
Last week was hard because Steven was away for a trip in Colorado for work, but I was able to see old friends, which was very nice because I don't get to see them that often. But traveling back to my hometown, made me realize how much I really do appreciate LA and how I never want to go back to Orange county to live ever again. I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Hello everyone, I am extremly sorry for such a long hiatus. I have been terribly sick, to finding out my dad is homeless. but I am finally feeling better. I hope you all have been well.
So this is the shoot i did about a month back with Candace Wakefield, (here are some other shoots I've done with her in the past 1 2 3 4) but she is a great friend, and great photographer. of course this is all film, her trademark ;]. and so it took awhile to get back. But it was worth it. It was shot around Pasadena, and Caroline's neighborhood (which is very rich!) the photos around her neighborhood really remind me of when I read "black wood farm" by anne rice when I was younger. just had sort of a new Orleans feeling to them. SO FIRST OFF, I want to apologize for my super long hiatus, things have been super hectic and busy for me, from making this dress, from shooting a few lookbooks, and getting/losing a new kitten. I promise there is much more stuff I'm posting in the very near future!

So this past weekend (july 2nd) I went to Anime Expo in Downtown Losangeles! so I had been posting a few times how I was excited for it, (it only happens once a year) and this was the first time I actually went with friends! (I use to go alone alot or with my aunt since I was 13) and they all enjoyed it because it was like a second Halloween. haha if you don't already know this about me, I'm a really big anime/manga/japan nerd. But unfortunately this year I didn't have the time (or funds) to actually cosplay as a series, so I dressed up as a subculture from japan called Gyaru Hime, where girls dress in (only pink or white) frilly dresses and have big hair and big curls and bows. and I was like "hey! I can make that work :D"

next year though, I am defiantly going two days, one day with friends, and one day with Steven. But it was a fun weekend none the less :-]

Hello everyone! How is everyone? I'm so tired :[ but its good because I'm just busy :]. So this was the shoot I had yesterday with ///OLF around neighborhoods in downtown. And I got to do the makeup! I don't know if you can tell, but the eyes are actually really detailed. I'll have to show you...but it took about 30 minutes to do! but cosmetology taught me well. The whole inspiration was very "qui etes vous polly magoo" vs. Anna Karina in "Une Femme est Une Femme" vs. contemporary fashion. I really think we pulled it off with the mixture of b&w and de-saturated colors. Well I hope you like the pictures!

So how was everyone's weekend?? I had a great weekend, saturday night I had an intimate gathering of friends, and sunday I got to see toy story 3! I am a really big fan of animation in general (from disney classic 2D animation to various japanese animes) and pixar is no exception. Especially since toystory is child hood favorite from back in the 90's! I strongly advise to go see it!

So these are more pictures from the shoot I had with anthony! sorry for the bombardment of pictures, I was just really happy with how crisp they are and how it really focuses on who I am. I guess. and these were taken in one of my favorite places, Echo Park! the only thing I hate, is that it's surrounded by cars :/ .I also realize a lot of the clothing I am wearing was bought from my boyfriend >.> I just wanted to tell him thanks for always being there and thinking of me, I can't do much without you! and I am excited for my shoot today with ///OLF

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone's week is going by well :] My week has been pretty slow, I've been pretty sick :[ but I'm finally getting better! So this is a continuation of the shoot i did on Carrol St. in Los Angeles. You see that blue house, with that tree, thats the house thriller was filmed in (the ending) so cool! a neighbor said that when MJ died people basically paid homage to this house. haha. But I really love the natural light of these photographs, and you bet I love jumping in the street ;] Still more to come from this shoot, you will see!

So I wanted to take a moment to talk about something. I get alot of mail, and comments about people pointing out, or insulting me, for my mouth. I just want to clear the air once and for all about this, because I have gotten it my whole life and I'm, SO tired of it. When I was a kid I had a lot of breathing problems, and I could only breath through my mouth, and then I developed with my mouth always open, I cannot physically close my mouth in a relaxed manner, it starts to hurt after awhile and looks like I have a mouth full of food (lol) SO PLEASE, for the people that do have something to say, read this, and understand I am a human too, your words hurt. Thankyou.

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did! I styled a great shoot on Saturday in china town, pictures will follow suite soon! so this is another part to my last photo shoot with Anthony, and we shot at the famous, (but not so famous) Carrol St! It is this amazing hidden row of houses that the people that live there have built to be really cool and decedent Victorian houses, there isn't even telephone poles on the street, its all wired underground by the neighbors them selves, and they also put classic street lamps as well! I had the pleasure of meeting some of its inhabitants while asking permission to shoot in front of houses, where I had learned that a lot of the houses have very famous backgrounds, like one of them is the house from "thriller", and another was the house on the set of charmed, and many more. I really enjoyed learning more about it's history!

Also this weekend, most of you won't care >,> but I finished this anime called "wolf's rain". I had watched this anime when I was 13, but it has been 7 years, so it was basically new to me. the last few episodes were vigorous and depressing (I had cried 4 times in the second to last episode and I'm not even a cryer!) and the ending, was really really good. haha, I don't know why I wrote this, but yeah just to let you know more about my nerdy life. here is my favorite song on the soundtrack (I love anime and video game soundtracks) and it's called "leaving on a Red Hill" hope you enjoy!

Hello Everyone! so this is a shoot that I had with ///OLF yesterday. It was very spur of the moment, and we wanted to test the light with a little bit of dusk/night shooting. In a very dramatic and melancholy way. I really enjoy how moody the photos are, and the title really says it all about the theme of the shoot. It's funny, while steven was editing, he was listining to the Camera Obscura song, and he said
" Wow I feel genuinely sad for you in these photo's listneing to this song"
and I said

Hey everybody! so I know this isen't a typical outfit or photo shoot post, but as i share independent designers with you and fine classic films, I would love to show you my favorite artist (that isent from Tokyo). Her name is Amy Sol! How I discovered Amy Sol was very strange, when I was about 15, my science teacher gave me a link to this artists profile on myspace saying that her paintings looked/dressed like me, and when I saw the paintings I was amazingly flattered because her paintings were just a perfect amount of gorgeous. After adding her, the next day she had sent me a message saying she was inspired by one of my pictures and wanted to paint me! I was very excited but unfortunately it never happened. But still today she is my favorite modern artist, with her beautiful Korean girls, the wavy hair, the cute frilly clothes and of course the mythical animals in her paintings have always drawn me in. oh and did I mention she paints these all on wood? that right! crazy.. anyways. I hope you enjoy my story/the amazing artwork. I only can pray to be somewhat good like this! hope everyone has a great weekend!

So I hope that everyone had a banging 3 Day weekend! I know I did! So the story behind this bathing suit! and how I got it so cheap ;], me and my boyfriend wanted to go to this fashion bookstore at the California market, downtown, they ended up being closed, but there was this whole sale thing going on downstairs, so we checked it out, a lot of if was really bad but I really didn't have a lot of time to browse, but I found this bathing suit and it was 2 dollars!? it was amazing, and just in time! so me and Steven went to Malibu beach for the first time, and it was soo pretty (and I don't even like the beach!) and so we did this shoot! I really like the way the pictures came out, it reminds me a lot of the era of Scarface, or Grand Theft Auto Vice City (I'm a big fan, ha ha note the "grand theft" in my title), But nevertheless, it was an iconic era. Also, this is the first time I've worn a bathing suit in public in a very long while, (like 3 years) and it was a very liberating experience. I hope you guy's like the pictures! ;3

I absolutely am in love with it, it looks very expensive for its price (below 100$!) and its very classic, which I love in most accessories. Hello all! So this is from the photo shoot with Candace Wakefield, from way back when, you might remember these posts ()() I finally got the last of these (she is constantly swamped with work being that she only works with film!) But she still remains to be one of my favorite photographer's, everything is Natural and Nice with her, I feel like I can be myself. This was shot at griffth park on a BEAUTIFUL day, but it was a Tad bit chilly, so don't mind the discomfort in some of my facial expressions.

BTW, I wanted to talk a little about a movie I saw a few weeks ago, Kick Ass! it was probably the best thing to come out in theaters since "The Dark Knight" (I didn't see Benjamin Button till it came out on blu ray so that doesn't count) But I have to say, The entire experience of seeing this movie was enthralling and still embedded in my head! If this is out in your area, and you like violence, realism (sort of ish) and comics, you will love this movie, I highly recommend it!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend! mine wasn't too exciting, just spent a lot of it at home with the hubby which is nice. I checked out this thrift store with him in Lincoln heights on Saturday called "Society of St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store". I don't think I have ever been in a thrift store so massive, They had a lot of good selections, I'm defiantly going back alone to spend the whole day in (I will search through every rack in thrift stores) they had clothes, jewelry, shoes, electronics, LOTS of furniture, it was just amazing! I bought a few other things that I am altering now to show you ;] Other than that, I had this shoot yesterday with ///OLF at this park overlooking downtown LA, its funny, when ever I come to this park I always get this nostalgic feeling, (me and my boyfriend went here for our first year anniversary) so it holds really special meaning to me. This is one of my favorite shoots to date with ///OLF, The glasses have a prescription in them, and I have pretty good vision, so I was dizzy and tumbling all around this shoot, but the glasses really added a nice effect :] And I really really love this pink romper, it was the perfect find for me! and at 4$! so I hope you really like it! ;]

And this outfit (partially put together by my boyfriend! he loves dressing me) had a certain quality of movement, and care free-ness that is very reminiscent of that era. Oh and the lovely team at WeLoveColors, sent me these pink socks (that are actually thigh highs!)I love the whole idea of having 51 different colors to choose from from hosiery to leotards! So, its been a LONG while, since I did one of these, but if you are new to my blog, check out the "before and after" section of my blog to see other creations that I had re-designed. This one was fairly simple, and I didn't really have much time to do much with it, (I had a wedding to attend to the next day) So I Had to really slim this number down, in the waist and in the sleeves, it was really huge and un-flattering on me, but I loved the shape, and guess what! the tag was in Japanese! :D (I'm a sucker for Japan) I also made the skirt part shorter, which was kind of a feat for the outer layer because it was a more silky and delicate fabric to hem, and the hem line goes in a strange direction. But I was really happy with the outcome and am now addicted to getting my clothes dry cleaned (this dress came back so beautiful from the dry cleaner! and it was only 2 dollars to do!) I can't wait to do another one of these! I defiantly feel like Lynn MinMei from Robotech in this dress ;].

Btw, the Green dress Loren is wearing is a vintage Dior dress from the 60's! how awesome is that!? more pictures to come soon!

The last and FINAL installment of Lamixx. which includes a tiny interview with the designer! I had asked Jacqueline to give me a brief (or long) statement about how Lamixx started, Why she loves fashion, and what her atheistic is surrounding it, and this was her answer!

Designing started before I even knew it. I've always loved fashion but never pursued it. At the time I was not able to find clothing that truly expressed my personal style, clothing that was affordable and well made. I decided to take things into my own hands and one thing after another.... lamixx begin. Life is full of opportunities and when one door closes another door opens. This is when my journey begin in designing clothing that was timeless yet simplistically unique.

My aesthetic are clean redefined lines, natural colors, pieces that any girl can wear and pair it with vintage or accessories to make it her own.

I love fashion because it is an art form of each persons unique and special expression of beauty. Live a life of love and always be true to yourself...."

This is exactly why I choose this designer, and after getting to know her I really found where her passion's lie. I was really happy to spread the word about her great talents as a designer and her awesome clothing!

Pretty Baby

Hello! I wanted to introduce to you a movie that I defiantly enjoy, a film by Louis Malle, "Pretty Baby". Starring the young and beautiful Brooke Shields. To be honest with you, if you have not heard of or seen this movie, that it is centered around a disturbing subject, that was not foreign when this movie took place. But to over compensate for that fact, the imagery, costumes, and Brooke Shields defiantly do just that. I have always loved 17th-18th century New Orleans, Probably ever since I Saw the movie "Interview with the Vampire" before Twilight took over, Anne Rice Reigned supreme in the "vampire" books. Off subject, but still relevant. I probably have about a dozen close up shots of Brooke in this movie, but a big part of this movie was detecting her youth. Observing further, I also thought it peculiar and funny that all the whores wore white through out the movie, defiantly a hidden metaphor behind that. All and all, a great movie, and I do recommend it.
